YOU are....

O. Outstanding overcomer of oversized, overwhelming battles

M. Majestically marvelous and magnificent. Made by God.

I'm sure you hear "Mom" yelled, cried, screamed, asserted and maybe even burped many times DAILY!!!

Sometimes you may want to run and hide in the bathroom because you are constantly being summoned. Other times, you may want to pull the covers over your head and pretend that you don't hear a thing. "Just a few more moments of quiet," you plead with yourself while hoping that your kiddos would take a hint from your prolonged delay. As a single mom, days can be frequently long and tough. There are no reenforcement troops coming to bolster your efforts. But, no worries; God will hold you up.

Try and bear this in mind when you hear your kiddos calling....

"Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
Your home and your family are blessed because of YOU."

There is a small blessing nestled in every single "Moooooooom" that your kiddos verbalize.

One day, sooner than you think, those summons for mom will turn into the more articulated "return blessings" of compliments, tributes, toasts, endearing tales to share with your grandkiddos and ultimately, a lovely legacy of your dutiful sacrifice that far outlives your ability to serve.

Answer when duty calls! The future rewards far outweigh the present pressures!
