HAPPY FEET

Romans 10:15 KJV
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Dearest radiant, remarkable Ladies,

HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!

Here's today's riddle: what's big and small, arched and flat, smelly and scented, covered and bare, rested and tired, pedicured and natural, but, BEAUTIFUL nevertheless? Drum roll please. If you guessed "OUR FEET" then you're correct. Yay! Hooray!

HAPPY FEET

ARE YOUR BEAUTIFUL FEET HAPPY?

Sisters, stop working for a moment. PAUSE! Plop down in a chair or rest on the couch. Unshoe your feet and massage them. If you have time, run some warm water into a basin, toss in some epsom salt, AND SOAK YOUR FEET! Then, dry them off and lotion them up.

We are busy women. Some of us work from home; others of us work away from home. As single parents, we are constantly working on something. We are healing and recovering in the midst of everything else that is going on.

In reality, we don't clock in or out from our lives that seemingly rush ahead at lightening speed!!!!!

We work ALL day. And even when we lie in bed, our minds are racing with thoughts about unfinished projects or new tasks that await us. If we could, some us of might elect to work in our sleep so our days would be less harried. But, THANK GOD, our thoughts are arrested during REM sleep!!!! Our bodies need rest; and the Lord designed many built in mechanisms to ensure our heathy, regular intervals of sleep. Sleep is necessary for our healing, both mentally, spiritually, and physically.

We work around the clock and our work doesn't fit into one small, neat mental box like many men. Instead, our work as moms (and home educators) influences every area of our lives. When we're home, or even in the grocery store, bank, or church, our kiddos are never far from our thoughts; in fact, most of the time, they're right at our side. We are non-stop; always on the go. So, sometimes, it easy to forget the necessity and importance of self-care.

God calls OUR FEET beautiful because we proclaim the Gospel and spread glad tidings to our kiddos and others. We are lovely and cherished in God's sight. He sees our faithful, dutiful work, day in and day out. Our work is not validated nor esteemed greatly by society BUT, our work matters to God. WE matter to God.

Sisters, I encourage you to take regular breaks to get off your beautiful feet. Elevate them! Soak them! Massage them! Rub them! Polish them (your toenails that is LOL)! Do whatever is necessary to keep yourself motivated, energized, and refreshed. Take a moment or two everyday to keep yourself battle-ready. Fatigue, neglect, and exhaustion can amplify the challenges of any day. So, plan ahead. Stay on guard!

KEEP YOUR BEAUTIFUL FEET HAPPY!!!!

Love and blessings

Hugs
