DELIGHT IN THE LORD

Psalm 37:4 KJV
Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
HAPPY Thursday Sisters!!!!
HAPPY Today!!!!!
Today's a great day! And, it's a great day to keep our hearts and minds focused on eternal things. It's not good for life to pass us by because we are so absorbed in things that are beyond our understanding or fixing. Do what you can and do it heartily unto the Lord. The Lord commands us to trust Him and acknowledge Him in ALL our ways. In return, He promises to direct our paths. Let's lean not on our own understanding. We MUST trust God. Challenging times are upon us. Desperate times call for increased prayer and supplication unto God.
Dearest Sisters,
The Lord promises to give us the desires of our hearts if we delight ourselves in Him!!!!!! There are many voices in the world that offer false promises and false hope! Sadly, deceptive voices have increasingly crept into churches and Christian circles. We can only discern lying voices by abiding in God and daily rehearsing His truth.
We live in a culture wherein people seek after genies, shamans, witches, and wizards for a stroke of "luck" or for fulfillment of desires. Others obsess over horoscopes, tarot card and crystal ball readings, or palm readings in their quests to have their fortunes told. Many folks perform chants, rituals and spells in order to summon beings and "guardian angels" to grant them wishes or to keep them protected. An astounding many posses "magic" trinkets, charms, and amulets that are thought to ward off evil and welcome good.
As born-again believers, we never need help from the dark side. As born-again believers, we never need tricks, charms, white or black magic, wizardry, or hocus pocus to bring us good fortune. Consulting witches is forbidden by God. Consulting the dead is also forbidden by God. 1 Samuel 28 records King Saul's forbidden interaction with a witch and the dead. Saul paid a grave price for disobeying God.
Ladies, we have J-E-S-U-S!!!!!!! His anointing makes the difference in our lives. It's ALL we need. We need to maintain a strong relationship with Jesus. Knowledge of Christ alone won't save us or ever help us. Even demons know of Jesus and tremble at the sound of His name. Sisters, we NEED a solid, loving, intimate relationship with Christ. Perilous times are upon us. We REALLY need Jesus; He is THE way, the truth, and the life.
During his earthly ministry, Jesus couldn't physically be in more than one place at a time. But, the Holy Spirit, came to followers of Christ after His departure. The Holy Spirit remains with us. He is our comforter and guide; gratefully, He dwells within us. The Holy Spirit is EVERYWHERE with us. The globetrotters among us can grasp "everywhere" from an international perspective.
Sisters, ALL we need is Jesus!!!! Worshipping Jesus plus anything else is NOT sincere worship and devotion unto the Lord ! I knew a "Christian" lady that kept a Buddha statue in her home. Buddha statues are presently stylish and trendy. In AMERICA!!!!!!!!! Many non-Christian AND Christian, progressive, modern, chic homes are "home" to Buddha. Nearly all American stories with a "home furnishings" section carry Buddha statues. Yikes!!!!
I inquired about the Buddha in the "Christian" lady's home. She told me that when she prayed, she expected Jesus or Buddha to answer. She felt that having Buddha would ensure an answer to those prayers that God didn't answer. Sigh!!! She believed that keeping a Buddha altar meant double blessings, double protection, and double prayers answered. Sigh!!!! I was heartbroken.
Sisters, sisters, sisters, the aforementioned "Christian" lady's model is very, very dangerous and terribly bad for us or any Christian for two main reasons. 1) God always answers our prayers and He doesn't need our assistance. 2) Any prayer that is simultaneously offered to Jesus and a false god will NOT be received in Heaven.
Have you ever tried sending a letter with two separate forwarding addresses on it? Probably not. We can't have two receivers, in two different towns, recieve the same tangible letter. Misdirected mail with two forwarding addresses can not be successfully delivered by the USPS. Likewise, God does not answer prayers uttered to false gods. No way! Not now! Not ever! A person can not serve two masters. The Lord is faithful to His faithful children.
Dearest Sisters, the Lord promises to give us the desires of our hearts IF we trust in Him. Christians don't need luck. Christians don't need Buddha statues in their homes. In fact, we don't need anyone or anything else to fulfill our desires when we have the God of Heaven and Earth as our Father. Truthfully, no one or nothing else can fulfill our desires.
Ladies, when you are in need of something where do you turn? When your kids are in need of something where do you direct them? When your family is in dire need to whom do you call? As humans, moms, daughters, sisters, aunts, homeschool teachers, coaches, business women, and volunteers, we will encounter challenges and profound need. How we handle our neediness and how we work through our challenges is our testimony. Do we help or harm ourselves and our kiddos by where we turn for help?
I'm a Creole girl. I've encountered pagan mystics, paranoid miracle seekers, and panicked middle agers descend on New Orleans in search of spirit guides, signs, wonders, hexes (to place on their enemies), and good times n' good fortune. Countless people visit "The Big Easy" to find themselves by losing themselves in the dark, devilish realm.
Many seekers visit the notorious, haunted St. Louis Cathedral in search of apparitions and others visit the tomb of Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau to conjure her demonic power. Ghost, Voodoo, vampire, and cemetery tours are offered in abundance by professionals and street hustlers. Voodoo dolls and Gris Gris bags are peddled all over the French Quarter. Opportunities to patronize Voodoo priests, soothsayers, channelers, and fortune tellers abound. But, tapping into the dark realm is no good way for anyone, let alone a Christian, to obtain the desires of her heart.
Black magic has attracted a cult following to New Orleans. But, there is also a widespread, pervasive attraction, fascination, and nationwide addiction to the "dark side." Far East and New Age religions are part of the "white magic", "dark side." Folks near and far are chasing the forbidden as they seek to fulfill their heart's desire. Some think it's all fun and games or light-hearted sampling but Satan never lays traps that don't ensnare.
Hannah, the mother of the prophet Samuel, was once infertile; the Lord shut her womb. Can you imagine her misery and perhaps her shame? She was taunted and bullied by Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife, who was a mother of sons and daughters.
Hannah was "in bitterness of soul," (1 Samuel 1:10). Yet, she continued to faithfully go up to the temple to worship and sacrifice unto the Lord. She faithfully served her husband, Elkanah.
Hannah served the Lord and her husband with a perfect heart and willing mind. While she was bitter in soul and desperately needy, she did not turn away from God or her husband. She didn't emasculate her husband. She didn't retaliate against Peninnah. She didn't gossip. She didn't seek to fulfill her desires by her own plans and schemes. Remember, Sarah did. And, in the aftermath, she was sorely disappointed with her decision
Hannah was wise. She consistently and constantly brought her requests before God. She wasn't led astray to seek after false gods. Hannah trusted God with her heart and her deepest desire. She single-handedly trusted God to fulfill her and meet her needs.
Hannah prayed. And, she prayed. And, she prayed some more. Hannah was mistaken as a drunk, by the priest Eli, because of her unusual but sincere "real and raw" prayers and pleads. While praying, Hannah's lips moved but her voice was not heard. Hannah was heartbroken. She cried out to God. She bare her soul to the Lord. She persistently petitioned the throne of God. The priest Eli blessed her. And, she worshipped God and waited on His answer.
Hannah was bitter but she was full of hope. If not by hope, Hannah could not fiercely petition God with a heart of great expectation. While patiently waiting for God's answer, Hannah faithfully and obediently abided in the Lord and served her family.
In due time, the Lord found mercy upon Hannah. He opened her womb. Glory hallelujah! Please read Hannah's Song of Praise in 1 Samuel 2!!!! It's a wonderful song of thanksgiving to God.
The Lord truly gave Hannah the desire of her heart and richly blessed her. Hannah's firstborn son, Samuel, was blessed with an appointment to minister unto God's people as a priest. And, although Samuel lived away from "home," God blessed Hannah with several other children that remained at her side even after they were weaned (1 Samuel 2:21). The Lord blessed Hannah with far more than she imagined and with far more than she asked for because she faithfully delighted in the Lord.
Dearest Sisters, the Bible is the world's greatest love letter. Each book and every chapter is full of hope and promise. The Bible is full of real people that had real needs just like each of us. Every historical account points us, Christians, to Christ and our sincere need for Him. We can't successfully or effectively live without the Lord. Furthermore, the Lord is a faithful rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
God is consistently loving, faithful, and compassionate from Genesis to Revelation. I pray that we carve out time daily to study the Bible which is our daily bread and thirst-quenching fountain of life.
The Lord will provide for us. His failure rate is 0.00 %. Our faith is increased as we study God's faithfulness throughout time. Let this truth sink in your heart TODAY:
The Lord will give us the desires of our hearts IF we delight in Him!!!!!!!
Allow the Lord to prove His love. It's His great pleasure to woo His bride.
Happy Thursday!
Love, blessings, and hugs to you and yours!

LAUGH, SING, DANCE

2 Samuel 6:14 KJV
14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
Life has its ups and downs but we should celebrate the good in life. We should embrace the lovely. Life can knock the wind out of us or pull the rug from under us but we should celebrate the good in life. In fact, we should celebrate God, the giver of all good.
HAPPY WEDNESDAY Ladies!!!!!!!
Celebrate the good in life!!!!!
Celebrate Jesus, the Giver of life and ALL that's good in life!!!
Celebrate!!!!!!!
Years ago, I was in constant celebration mode. I loved God with all of my little heart. Life was easy and simplistic. I was surrounded by beautiful, wonderful, fascinating people and things. Not only was life good but, I truly believed it and this truism exuded from every fiber of being.
I used to enjoy singing and dancing. And, I REALLY enjoyed laughing. Feeling good, making others feel good, telling jokes, and responding to the wonders of life with laughter was my modus operandi.
Laughter was always bubbling up in me. It didn't take much to have me LAUGHING OUT LOUD!!!! A cheesy joke could have me laughing til my sides ached. Laughter heralded my arrival; simply put, I was heard before I was seen. Remember, life was good, I believed it, and goodness flowed through me.
I was affectionately nicknamed "Queen Jeanine the Laughing Machine" by my playmates. Some of my boy cousins snidely called me "motor mouth;" I didn't care. I was carefree and I lived AND LAUGHED out loud.
My childhood and adolescent memories are filled with twists, twirls, toe-tapping tunes and terrific talent. As a young girl, I laughed between dance sets and I sang through chuckles. My songs were concluded with the largest of smiles. My smile and my hearty laughs were my trademarks. From toothless to toothy, I was smiling.
I sang and danced my way through life. From New Orleans to Nairobi and back, I hummed and pranced around the world. I was a member of several choirs and I danced with a couple of troupes. I often danced for fun; dancing was a natural expression for me and a direct consequence of my birth in the land of jazz and blues. Singing and dancing were both incredible outlets but deep passions. My life was rich and rhythmic!
I am well remembered, among my extended family members, as the little girl that belted out at the top of her lungs during a family gathering, "I can dance to any song that comes on the radio." Laugh out loud! I surely hope that my younger self wouldn't have been interested in dancing to every song that came on the radio but, nevertheless, the point remains, I danced and sang my way through life. And, I happily enjoyed doing so.
Psalm 149: 3 KJV
Let them praise [God] in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
Well, sometime ago, I stopped singing and I stopped dancing. The burdens of life drowned out my voice and stifled my steps. My zest and zeal were zapped. My passions and promises were sapped. Satan whispered lies in my ears; they took root. Trauma hardened my body but Satan's lies hardened my heart. God's goodness couldn't so freely flow through my veins. What happened? LIFE happened!!!! I became a prisoner of war.
I didn't make a conscious decision to forego singing and dancing. But, spiritual attack after spiritual attack and setback and setback strangled my soul and silenced my voice. I became trapped, voiceless and danceless, in my own body. I went from an active doer in life to a passive observer of others' lives. I lived vicariously through other adventurers and explorers. Happiness bled from my life. I no longer lived in the happy place of vibrant colors, singing, laughing, and dancing. Sadly, spiritual attacks catapulted me into a world of drab grays and a melancholy existence. Sigh....
****
THANK GOD nothing can separate us from the love of God!!!!! His love, light, and power transcends all. God can rescue anyone from the deepest, darkest pits. I am a living witness.
****
Fast forward......
Healing is a journey. Day by day and year by year, I was restored. Just like Jesus told the lame man to pick up his mat and walk (John 5:8 KJV), He beckoned me to literally LAUGH OUT LOUD, to sing again, and to dance unto Him. So, if you hear me singing or see me dancing unto the Lord or perhaps laughing out loud, with gusto and delight, then rest assure God's hand is upon me. The Lord is finishing the great thing that He began in me.
Month after month, the Lord chiseled away at my stress-induced seriousness, perfectionism, and pessimism. I'm still a work in progress. But, I fastidiously welcome God's transforming, amazing grace in my life. While happiness is a moving target, fullness of joy can still be found in God's presence.
Dearest Ladies, have the sorrows and setbacks of life diminished you? Have you buried your God-given gifts and talents? Have you wondered if God will breathe life onto the old, shriveled up dreams and pleasures of your yesteryears? Or, has God blessed you with new, rich, life-enhancing passions? God has great plans for your life. Each plan is connected to His greater purpose. Trust the Lord to see you through. Seek the Lord! Abide in Him! Take up your mat and LIVE!!!!!!
Love, blessings, and hugs

SETTING OUR AFFECTIONS ON GOD

Colossians 3:1-2 KJV
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Dearest Sisters,
HAPPY TUESDAY!!!
Be encouraged! Today is a great day to be alive! Today is a great day to be happy and content! Today is an awesome day to smile and make someone else smile! Today may even be a great day to cry or else offer a shoulder for someone else to cry on. I challenge us all to do whatever God has called us to do. He whispers daily. Let's tune out the voices of the world so that we can clearly hear the Lord.
Food for Thought:
Nothing on earth was made to single-handedly fulfill us or to make us whole. We were created to find our fulfillment in God. We are made complete, or whole, in God alone. There is no identity greater than our identity in Christ. It's a blessing to be called Daughter of the most High. Once we are fulfilled and made whole in our identity as children of God then we can live peaceably and also effectively serve the Lord in other capacities.
Earth is our temporary home; God put longings for Him and Heaven in our hearts. The highs and lows of our lives are supposed to point us to Christ and eternity with Him. Our lives are not filled with good or bad experiences that are void of purpose. The good moments are wonderful but fleeting; they should remind us that earthly goodness is a taste of something greater that is yet to come. We can be reminded that true goodness is being forever with Christ in eternity. The bad moments of our lives are tough and seemingly long; they can remind us that Christ has overcome the world. And, that Heaven is void of sorrow, pain, and tears. During bad times, our faith can be strengthen and the fruit of the Spirit can be increased in our lives.
Sisters, don't be hard on yourselves when you feel unfilled and unsatisfied. Don't feel odd or strange when you long for more than the things of this life. You're not crazy for realizing that even the best things on earth don't complete you.
Even so, don't miss an opportunity to mourn for those loved ones that have passed on. Don't forget to grieve dreams that have shriveled up and died. Strive for new dreams. The pleasantries of the here and now are but minuscule glimpses of eternity. The earth shall one day pass away (Matthew 24: 35) but eternity with God is good and it is forever.
The Lord God has blessed us with myriad joys and wonders to pleasure us on our pilgrim journeys. But, none of our earthly pleasures were supposed to replace or distract us from our true treasure: the Lord God and dwelling with Him in eternity. Keeping a correct focus is wise and full of blessings.
Relationships were created by God to draw us to Him. Within the bounds of relationships, we learn life's greatest lessons, we partake of love, and undoubtedly, we learn of hate. In relationships, it seems, we come the closet to hell on earth or heaven on earth. Relationships unearth our shortcomings, imperfections, and needs that can be remedied by our Lord and Savior only.
The Lord has allowed setbacks and challenges to loosen our grips on "things" or to curb our fleshly appetite for power and control. Our security is in God alone. The Lord is our rock; all other ground is sinking sand.
Our Heavenly Father wants our total submission without fear, worry, or anxiety. He wants our affection, admiration, and adoration. Sometimes, the accumulation of "stuff" can distract us from serving God with a perfect heart. Sometimes, the idolization of certain people and relationships can make us stray from God.
Dearest Sisters, keep your affections on God. He will NOT fail you!
Love, blessings, and hugs

BE COURAGEOUS

Joshua 1:6-7 KJV
6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.
Dearest Sisters,
Happy Monday!
I hope that you and yours are off to a jazzy start this week!
Are you feeling discouraged or doubtful from day to day?
Are you worried or concerned from week to week?
Are you fearful about trailblazing the path you're on? Do you sometimes feel lonely, overwhelmed, misunderstood or unqualified for your present tasks and obligations?
Take heart! You can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. God is with you always. He will never leave you nor forsake you. The Lord God has established your path; your steps are ordered. God will not fail you. Trust God!
Just prior to the children of Israel entering the Promised Land, Moses died and Joshua was appointed their new leader. Joshua felt the magnitude of his new position and responsibility. After all that he witnessed under Moses's leadership, while leading the often stubborn and ungrateful Israelites through the wilderness, can you imagine how nervous and ill equipped Joshua probably felt? Joshua probably felt very intimidated. He probably doubted that he could fill Moses's shoes. Nevertheless, the Lord commanded Joshua to be strong and of a good courage and to take charge of his assignment. And, the Lord said:
Joshua 1:9 KJV
9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Ladies, God calls us to be strong and courageous as we follow Him. We can be strong in the Lord because Christ strengthens us; in Him we can do ALL things. We can be courageous while on our pilgrim journeys because God is our shepherd.
Have a blessed and beautiful day!
Hugs!

WALKING BY FAITH

Hebrews 11:6 KJV
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Dearest Sisters,
How courageous you are to live by faith!
Living by faith is a very, very courageous choice that you have to make EVERY day!
Sometimes, living by faith is dangerous and scary. It's very daring and adventurous to say the least. Nevertheless, TRUST GOD!
Do you lack something? Are your kids lacking anything? Is "life" posing new challenges for you? Did you have everything figured out then your plans quickly unraveled? Pour out your heart to God. Tell Him your concerns. You are trailblazing a NEW path, by faith. The Lord will see YOU through. DON'T GIVE UP!
Your faith is NOT your father or mother's faith. Your journey is not your father or mother's journey. Seek God for yourself and your kiddos. He will show Himself faithful to you.
You all are so brave and bold!
Be kind to yourself! Be gentle with those around you!
God will NOT let you fail!
Walking by faith is not for the faint! But, you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you!
Celebrate God today! Celebrate ALL that God has done for you thus far! Celebrate the prayers that God is yet answering for you and yours!
Live like an exclamation point!!!!! EVERY day you are making a statement of faith to yourself and others. The God of the universe is working ALL things together for your GOOD! If that's not a statement then I don't know what is. Keep living by faith! Keep serving God with a perfect heart and willing mind! The Lord and a host of angels are cheering you on.
YOU can do A-L-L things in Christ's strength!
Fight forward!
Love, blessings, and hugs to you and yours!!!!!

A PERFECT HEART

A PERFECT HEART
1 Chronicles 28:9 KJV
And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
Dearest Ladies,
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
You are tremendous! You are terrific! You are talented!
Are you glorifying God, edifying your fellow Christian brethren and fulfilling your purpose with your God-given talents? Step 1 is ALWAYS a matter of the heart. Whether you are on target or off target, the focus of your heart is the root of your choices. A perfect heart is essential to earnestly follow God, to humbly serve others, and to live a happy, healthy, and hearty life. May you serve God with a perfect heart.
Solomon, the son of David, was young and inexperienced when he was anointed King of Israel. He could have easily desired to flatter himself with quests for riches, wealth, honor, vengeance on his enemies, and longevity. But instead, He asked God for wisdom and knowledge to effectively reign in his father's stead "over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude," (1 Chron 1:9 KJV).
Before dying, David admonished Solomon to diligently seek God and serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing mind. Solomon obediently followed his father's mandate. As a new king, Solomon sought the interests of God and the Children of Israel before his own interests. Solomon's selflessness pleased God. In return, Solomon was surely blessed with a wise heart to serve God and the Israelties. But, God also blessed him above and beyond his desire. "And God said to Solomon, Because this [the will of God] was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayst judge, over whom I have made thee King: WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE IS GRANTED UNTO THEE; AND I WILL GIVE THEE RICHES, AND WEALTH, AND HONOUR, SUCH AS NONE OF THE KINGS HAVE HAD THAT HAVE BEEN BEFORE THEE, NEITHER SHALL THERE ANY AFTER THEE HAVE THE LIKE," (1 Chronicles 1:11-12 KJV).
Ladies, there is an undeniable, indescribable benefit of serving God with a perfect heart. When we keep God and His kingdom FIRST, then God is faithful to provide us with resources to fulfill His will: in His kingdom and in our personal lives. God is not a man that He should lie. He is not slack in keeping His promises. Whatever we need, the Lord alone is able to provide. Matthew 6: 33 (KJV) reads, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things [food, drink, clothing] shall be added unto to you.
Dearest Sisters, we constantly have to check the condition of our hearts. The desire of our heart is the spiritual equivalent to our physiological blood pressure. In order to run a successful Christian race, we have to have a perfect heart unto God. Similarly, we need a regulated blood pressure to run a marathon. We can rest assure that when our hearts stay anchored in God's will and word then we will advance God's kingdom and reap myriad, tangible benefits in our lives and the lives of our children.
Do you do things for God's praise or people's praise? Do you do things that project a socially pleasing but false image of you and your family? Are you overly concerned with following God's will for your life or do you succumb to the the pressures of pop culture? Do you seek God for direction or Oprah's New Age Life Classes?
Remember, a perfect heart is not evidenced by being perfect. No one is or ever was perfect except Christ. However, a perfect heart is found in those that walk closely with God, that hate what God hates and loves what He loves, that humbly strive to honor God in heart and mind, and that quickly repent of sin.
Oh God in Heaven, please give us perfect hearts and willing minds to faithfully and truthfully serve you all of our days. In Jesus' name, AMEN!
Love and blessings

YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUIT

Galatians 5: 22-23 KJV
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."

HAPPY TUESDAY Ladies!!!!

I pray that all is well with you and yours!

I stumbled across a quotation. It read, "the biggest coward is the one who awakens love within another without any intention or true motive to love."

Whoaaaaaaaaa! The gravity of that reality is sobering. Lord, please help us! AMEN!

Dearest Sisters, guard your hearts. God is love and He has put His undying, unconditional love in the hearts of many men and women. If your desire is for a husband, he is out there; someone special is out there for YOU. If your desire is for a friend, someone is out there for YOU. If you are seeking a baby-sitter, business partner, or mentor, someone is out there for YOU. If you are seeking a pastor or church, many options abound. But, a fitting pastor and church awaits YOU. Just be careful as you consider your pursuers. LOOK AT THEIR FRUIT!!!! Does he or she bear the fruit of the Spirit? Hmmmmm.

The Lord says that we will know people by their fruit (Matthew 7: 20 KJV). A person's "fruit" is connected to their "root." In other words, a person's actions and thoughts are a reflection of their heart. You REALLY do get what you see unless a person has a personality disorder (PD). But, even with a PD, God will give you wisdom and discernment if you both lack it and seek it. I trust that God will lead and guide you in truth and love.

Tuesday is a terrific, tremendous day for talking to God. Please spend some time, with God, in prayer and praise. The Lord is waiting to hear your requests and praise. God is ready to answer your prayers and rejoice with you, as you seek to glorify Him and edify yourself in His presence. Cheers!

Love and blessings

TOTAL ACCESS TO GOD

TOTAL ACCESS
Matthew 27:51 KJV
And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.
Dearest Sisters,
HAPPY MONDAY!!!!
HAPPY DAY-AFTER-THE-RESURRECTION!!!!
It's been so wonderful going through the tasks of the day while also soaking in the wonder and goodness of God's incredible love toward us. Praise the Lord Jesus for being our access to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Jesus Christ is our Lord, Savior, brother, and agent of access. He is amazing!!!!!
Have you ever been to concert? Have you ever wanted to go backstage to the see your favorite entertainer? Have you ever wanted to shake hands or hug the performer? Maybe you were not allowed certain privileges because you couldn't afford a backstage pass or perhaps money was no object. Maybe you couldn't get one-on-one time with your top artist because you were "just" another fan. What a pity! So, like everyone else, you settled for a glimpse of your top artist from a crowded arena.
Have your ever visited Washington D. C.? Have you ever drove or rode by the White House? Have you toured the White House? Did the thought ever cross your mind that you would really, really, really like to have a quick chat with Mr. President in the Oval Office. Perhaps you approached a Secret Service Agent and informed him that you were a law abiding, upstanding, tax paying citizen and that you wanted a word with the president. Did that work? Did your credibility get you an appointment with the president?
Have you ever traveled to London? Did you get to visit Buckingham Palace? Did you petition the Queen's Guard for entry into the palace? Or, did you call Will or Kate on speed dial to set up tea with Her Highness? Or perhaps, did you walk right up to the Palace gate and walk in unescorted? I'm sure the Queen was delighted to see you, right?
There are countless examples of people that we know, those that we have become very fond of, folks that we esteem and admire, those that we have allowed a place in our hearts and homes but, ironically those same folks have no clue that we actually exist or that we would tremendously appreciate a few potentially life-changing moments of their time. Some people spend a lifetime adoring, admiring, and sometimes obsessing over people that they have no access to whatsoever. Far worse than obsessing over celebrities and nobility, is the devout, rigid worship of those in pagan religions that have no true access to their enshrined idols.
Sisters, WE ARE SOOOOOOOO FORTUNATE!!!!! We have the unconditional love of God and total access to Him. Only God could ever see us as unworthy or worthless but, He died for us because to Him, we are worthy. The Lord doesn't treat us like just another person, follower, servant, or fan. Each of us is the apple of God's eye. We are individually and collectively important to Him. Never, ever give a person your time or space if they think any less of you than the King of Kings. You are worthy, wonderful, and waaaaaay awesome.
Because Jesus died on the cross for us, we have total access to God. As Jesus uttered, "It is finished," as He hung on the cross, the veil in the temple that cloaked the Holy of Holies was torn in two. The ripped veil symbolized a new reality. God's children no longer needed an earthly high priest to make atonement for sins or to access God. Jesus was both our sacrificial lamb and our High Priest. We are ushered into the fullness of joy, found only in God's presence, because of Jesus. Fortunately, we can go right to the throne of God without a human escort or intermediary. We do not need advance reservation/ permission or impossible security clearances.
It is an incredible, phenomenal, indescribable privilege and honor to have special access to the God of ALL. Not everyone can enter the presence of God. MY SAVIOR'S LOVE

  1. Dearest Sisters,

  2. My Savior's Love is a beautiful hymn penned by Charles Gabriel. I have posted the lyrics below. It is a wonderfully fitting song for Good Friday evening. I'm praying for you all and your families. Rest well this evening. Soak in the Savior's love. Love and blessings. Good Friday hugs to all.

  3. I stand amazed in the presence
    Of Jesus the Nazarene,
And wonder how He could love me,
    A sinner, condemned, unclean.
    • Refrain:
      How marvelous! How wonderful!
And my song shall ever be:
      How marvelous! How wonderful!
Is my Savior’s love for me!
  4. For me it was in the garden
He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.
  5. In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To comfort Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.
  6. He took my sins and my sorrows,
    He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calv’ry,
    And suffered and died alone.
  7. When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

JESUS LIVES!!!!!

Dearest Ladies,
I wish you and your families a beautiful Easter/ Resurrection Sunday weekend!!!!!!!!! Join a chorus of angels and Christians worldwide to celebrate Christ's victory over death, sin, and Satan. Glory hallelujah!
Christ's victory on Calvary is STILL worthy of celebration!!!!!!!
God is sooooooooo incredibly good to us. Please find the opportunity to break from your schedule today and reflect on the enormity of Jesus' sacrificial death on an auspicious Friday, over 2,000 years ago.
In a week's time, the crowd's melodious praise and songs of "Hosana" were trifled by bloodcurdling taunts and screams of "Crucify Him." But, Jesus prevailed when He responded, "It is finished."
We all are richly blessed in Christ Jesus. Glory to God for Christ's triumphant win over the wicked one! Thank God for Jesus' empty tomb! Thank the Lord for returning to His disciples post-resurrection! Praise Jesus for ascending into Heaven! Praise Jesus for going home to prepare Heavnly homes for us and to intercede for us at the right hand of God. Praise the Lord, JESUS LIVES!!!!!
This weekend is a perfect time to tell others that JESUS LIVES!!!!!!! Moreover, Christ is the ONLY WAY!!!!!!! All paths don't lead to God! AMEN!

BEE HAPPY

Proverbs 3:13 KJV
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding.
Dearest Sisters,
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!
Get happy!
Stay happy!
Be happy!
Don't let anyone or anything steal your happiness!
Spread happiness! It's contagious. Smile!
Please join me for a brief word of prayer.
Father in Heaven, we thank You for the glorious, wonderful flowers and greenery of Spring. We thank You for longer days and warmer weather. Lord, we are grateful for Spring showers and storms that water gardens and replenish scorched soil and souls alike. Storms can be both melodic and refreshing. Thank You Lord for the beautiful, buzzing pollinators that prance from flower to flower in their quests to make kids giggle, make honey, or make more flowers. Dear God, we are grateful for the lovely chirping birds that welcome the rising sun, tickle our ears, and make our hearts dance. We are grateful for butterfly kisses. We rejoice for the splendid chorus of crickets and grasshoppers. Father, we are grateful for Spring.
Lord Jesus, we pray for healing for those among us that are adversely affected by the springiness of Spring. Some among us have allergies and sensitivities that are aggravated by the fluctuating weather and increased pollen of Spring. Others have compromised immune systems that are antagonized by seasonal changes and year round "bugs" and "germs" alike. Dearest God in Heaven, there are several sick among us; please touch and heal their bodies. Father, grant all that are sick with speedy and smooth recoveries. We pray for the healing of temporary coughs, sneezes, aches, and pains and also the healing of ongoing, chronic pain and health complications. We are grateful Lord Jesus for Your atoning death and resurrection. Thank You, God, for the blood of Jesus that heals and delivers us from all hurt, harm, and disease. May all in our group be healed and delivered from any and all health maladies. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

RISE ABOVE THE STORM

Isaiah 40:31 KJV
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
I once read, "Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience."
Without fail, it seems that someone comes along or something happens that attempts to destroy a beautiful mood or moment. When this happens, resist the urge to be overcome. When storms brew, resist the temptation to be caught in the whirlwind or to "ride it out." Instead, rise above it! We were not designed to be the target of others' madness. Practice rising above the storm's of life. Eagles fly above storms! Practice, practice, practice! A little progress each day adds up to big results!
When Satan unleashes his vice in order to "steal, kill, or destroy" something in you or around you, remember "no weapon formed against you shall prosper."
Some battles are best fought by facing them head on and other challenges are best fought by getting away from them very, very fast. Discern the storms that blow into your life. Choose the BEST strategy. Regardless of the storm, it's always wise to keep the storm from getting into you. You have to be storm-proof.
Eagles are majestic, regal birds. They are fascinating to watch. A dear friend once forwarded me a link to an Eagle Cam. The camera, positioned right above an eagle's nest, provided live, 24/7 footage of an eagle and her eaglets. The moment by moment recording of the eagles was fascinating.
One intriguing fact about eagles is their ability to fly above storms. Some birds cease flying until a storm passes. But, eagles can uniquely detect a storm and fly away from it or even over it. Airline pilots adopt their life-preserving tactics of flight from the eagle (READ: from God). Storms don't disrupt eagles and storms don't disrupt the airline industry. With practice, we can learn to be undisrupted by storms.
The Lord likens us to eagles. In Isaiah 40:31, we learn that God will renew and strengthen us as an eagle. If we live and fight in our own strength then we will fail. But, if we wait on God and operate in His power then we are revived, increased, and restored. Ultimately, the Lord will carry us above all difficulties. The same God that mounts up eagles and allows them to soar over storms is the same God that holds us in His hands and allows us to transcend storms (READ: toxic people and situations).
When storms threaten to overtake us, let's choose to rise above them. Some storms God will still and others He will allow to pass over us. Whether we're above the storm or under it, God is sovereign and just. He is faithful and loyal to us. Our protection is in Him.
Jews in Egyptian captivity were once protected from death by applying lambs' blood to the door posts of their homes. Since then, Jesus' blood has been applied to our hearts; death, destruction, and countless storms can and will continue to pass over us in the mighty name of Jesus. AMEN!

ARISE AND SHINE

Isaiah 60:1 KJV
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
We're imperfect. We can dismiss the invisible signs but the physical marks of our imperfections are captivating.
Our breasts sag after breastfeeding.
Our skin has been stretched in some areas and wrinkled in others.
Our hairs are graying.
Our thoughts are fraying. We walk into a room and forget what we were looking for or we mix up the children and their names.
Our bladders aren't quite Ziplock seal tight after labor and delivery. A hearty laugh can cause an "accident."
Our backs ache from years of holding babies on our hips.
Our arms are flabby yet worn from lugging around heavy purses, ridiculously huge diaper bags, and later book bags.
Our hands are often unmanicured and blistered from housework, yard work, and all-things-child rearing.
No one can really loves us for who we are. We are constantly changing. We are constantly bruised, blistered, and banged up. Life and living is all about change and transformation.
Those that really love us can only love us for who we are in Christ. The glory of the Lord is upon us. Our perfect Lord covers our blemishes and imperfections and makes us lovable. The Christ who ransomed us and daily perfects us makes us worthy; worthy of love. We are a work in progress. Anyone that loves us must love us through the lenses of Christ who covers us in His love.
We aren't really loveable 24/7. We are hardworking and underpaid (smile!). We don't always do things worthy of love. But, we were made to give and receive love. We are worthy of love because of Christ. We are capable (and commanded) to give, and recieve, love because of Christ.
Life doesn't always turn out the way we plan. But, the Master's plan is never thwarted. Never settle for a life without love.
God doesn't give us the stories of our lives in one bound book. Instead, He gives us settings, and times. Characters, choices, and challenges. And, one timeless, classic theme: love. Love authored our stories. Love ransomed us. Christ's love covers our imperfections and makes us worthy of God's love and the love of others.
Fight on! Love on!
Fight forward! Love hard: love and be loved!

HANG TOUGH

Dearest Sisters,
HAPPY MONDAY!
I pray that you and yours are well.
Are you heavy hearted and downtrodden? Are you weak and weary? Are you doubtful and faint? There are times when we all fight battles that seem to never end. We battle sin and temptation. We battle bills, debt, and money management. We battle loneliness and the loss or lack of intimacy. We battle sickness and health complications. We battle "impossible" people and difficult relationships. We battle creating plans and having them fall through. We battle pain, abuse, and wreckage from unhealthy relationships. We battle the unknown and insecurities. Sometimes we wonder or question when it all will end. Take heart sisters, a better day is coming.
Fight on! Fight forward! Christ has won the war that will give you victory despite the many battles that you endure. Hang tough!
On Palm Sunday, we celebrated Jesus' triumphant albeit last entry into Jerusalem. Jesus' life and ministry had to come to an end in order for our earthly misery and mire to come to an end.
As we observe Jesus' last week of life and ministry, let's rejoice that our Savior's battles ended when He uttered, "It is finished." The Lord experienced many battles during His last week of life, but He overcame them ALL. Because Jesus died for us, we are assured that our battles won't wage on forever; most importantly, they won't defeat us. Christ is DAILY making intercession for us.
Christ will make certain that the world doesn't overcome us and that we will never be plucked from God's hand. Battles ensue and rage on but we are more than conquerors in Christ. Stand strong in the Lord! Ultimately, He is fighting your battles.
BE ENCOURAGED!!!!!

OUR SCARS

John 20:26-28 KJV
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Our Scars
Why do we hide our scars? Why do we neglect our wounds? Why do we cover our pain? Shame, guilt, and fear are often the culprits.
Unexposed scars dismiss our testimony and robs God of glory. Unexposed wounds can never properly heal. Unexposed pain is never resolved.
When Jesus was resurrected, He immediately found His disciples. Without shame, guilt, or fear, He exposed His scars. By His scars, His disciples identified Him and believed on Him. By His scars, God was glorified. Jesus bare and exposed His scars; he was met with the love and adoration of His disciples.
Can you imagine how much different history would look if Christ covered His scars? If he never sought His disciples and let them touch his scarred side, hands, and feet? What if the Lord immediately ascended into Heaven without allowing His dearly beloved "family of friends" to explore His scars, witness His transformation, and ascertain His love.
The disciples' privilege and ability to touch Christ's scars was pivotal in their faith, their growth, and the spread of Christianity.
It's so tempting to bury away the ugly things that happen to us. It's often easier to slap a smile and some Maybelliene on our faces in an effort to distract others from our weary hearts and restless souls. It's oh so convenient to rationalize away the injury to our minds and bodies. Is there a group of friends or a friend that can be trusted with our scars, for our mutual benefit?
Dearest Ladies, scars have a purpose. Scars attest that we are a work in progress. Scars are bearers of memories and stories. Scars are symbols of our testimonies. Scars are testaments to our survivorship and most importantly, God's provision, grace, and mercy.
Dearest Sisters, someone may need to see our scars in order to believe. Someone may need to hear our testimony to deepen their faith in God. Someone of us may need to bear our scars in our final blow to longtime battles with shame. Scars are important parts of our life's resumes. It's important to remind ourselves and others of ALL that God has brought us through and also of the glorious future that awaits us.
While on safari in Eastern Africa, my traveling buddies and I felt comfortable and safe with our scarred safari guide. His big, glaring scars assured us that he has fought and won countless battles with predators in the African bush. His scars spoke of his experience, wisdom, bravery, strength, courage, and resilience. As we lay at night, under a vast starry sky, we often felt small and insignificant. We heard all manner of growls, groans, and shrieks. However, we felt confident that our guide had conquered all that lurked in the dark and he was able to protect and defend us, if necessary.
Sisters, Jesus is far more capable of protecting and defending us. Our scars are but proof that God is our strong tower and defense. Our scars proclaim that God is a faithful, righteous, redeeming, restoring, and renewing Heavenly Father.
Take joy in celebrating, this weekend, our Lord's triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Take joy in partaking in history's greatest story. Take joy in celebrating the King of Kings. Have a happy Palm Sunday.

HOPE IS EVERYTHING

Dearest Sisters,
HAPPY THURSDAY!!!!
Did you realize that hope in a better future keeps us moving forward, even when the present seems unbearable?
No warrior fights on if filled with doubt. A mighty warrior may fall several times. But, each time gets up because of a strong hope in victory.
HOPE is so important!!!!!
Christ bolstered his disciples' hope by forewarning them of his betrayal, death, and resurrection.
Christ continues to bolster our hope by reminding us, DAILY, of His love and care that are directing our course and destiny.
Our Savior is a Lord of hope.
The Bible is a book of hope.
Our faith is a bastion of hope.
Our hearts and minds were designed to hold BIG hope.
Hope keeps us refreshed, renewed, and refueled.
Cultivate hope. Surround yourself with hopeful people. Tenaciously fight to protect your hope.
It's an awesome privilege and honor to celebrate the Lord's resurrection EVERY YEAR. In observing Christ's ascension into Heaven, we are reminded and encouraged to presevere towards our better future in Christ. Remember, the Lord has gone to prepare heavenly homes for us. One day He will return to take us home. Because we know that God holds tomorrow, and that He promised a better, brighter future, we can confidently endure the burdens of today.
Hope is everything! Who among us could have endured the traumatizing experiences of separation and divorce without hope? Who could have endured immense pain, torment, and agony without hope? Who could withstand abuse, misuse, rejection, abandonment, and neglect without hope? Who could navigate any storm of life without hope that the sun would shine again?
Many, many years ago Hope walked the streets of Jerusalem, infusing hopeless people with hope. Now, Hope is seated at the right hand of the Father making daily intercession for us. Hope also sent Hope to comfort and guide us. Hope lives within us. We have full access, 24/7 to the Hope of God. Glory hallelujah!
Have a hopeful day!

LOVE NEVER FAILS

1 Peter 4:8 KJV
And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
My mother used to work with renown social worker, Bryan Post. She learned and shared with me many of Post's teachings, theories, and interventions. I recall Bryan discussing his experiences working with adopted children and their families. He spoke of the post-traumatic triggers that aroused fear and/or shame and how they could be overcome with unconditional love.
We all are adopted into the kingdom of God. Because of Jesus' atoning death and resurrection, we are grafted into the family of God. We are joint heirs with Christ to the throne of righteousness. Sometimes, in spite of our new heritage and legacy, we experience things that trigger fear and shame from our lives before Christ (and sometimes after).
As spiritual orphans, we all picked up some "baggage." Our early encounters with hurt, suffering, pain, neglect, or disappointment left us void, perhaps fearful or shameful of what we experienced and our inability to get our needs met or our inability to prevent harm again. Unresolved pain of yesteryears can complicate and lengthen post-separation or post-divorce healing. Likely childhood or young adulthood "baggage" bled into our marriages. Although, our relationships have failed, love still wins. Love is still a mighty conqueror. There is no better time than now to ascertain our freedom in Christ Jesus.
Fear and shame are very powerful feelings. They can dictate a person's life for years, perpetually forever. It's only when we are able to brave the vulnerability of exposing our wounds that we can move past fear and be made whole in the love of God.
Fear and shame causes us to erect walls in our hearts and minds. Surely, walls keep out first time and serial offenders and perpetrators but, they also block love and the loved ones and friends that are extensions of God's love. As we prepare to observe Easter/ Resurrection Sunday, let's proverbially nail some of (ALL would great, but a little progress everyday adds up to BIG results) our hurts and hang ups on the cross with Christ. His blood covers all of our sins. His blood covers all of our hurts and headaches.
Pick your emotional or mental assailant and imagine yourself nailing it on the cross. Leave it there. Let it die there. You don't need ongoing fear and shame; none of us do. None of us need antagonizing worry, anxiety, or doubt; these are silent killers.
One physician remarked, "Americans have exchanged infectious diseases for chronic diseases." Once upon a time, our nation was plagued by microbial bacterial and viral diseases. Now, the citizenry is plagued by psychosomatic issues that manifest in compromised physical health.
Living in a constant state of fear and/ or shame has harsh effects on the body. Let's lay our sins and suffering at the foot of the cross. Let it all die with our crucified Lord. As he arose from the grave with all power in Heaven and Earth, we too can be resurrected to life anew. The Lord died and rose again that we might have life abundantly. He has conquered death in every form and fashion. The Lord's unconditional love covers ALL of our sin, suffering, secrets, shame, and fear. Go forth and LIVE!!! Live out loud!!!! L-I-V-E!! You were created to LIVE abundantly!!!! You were designed for abundant life!!!! Live free, live whole. Just live! Just do it!
