HIDE IN THE LORD

Luke 10:38-42 KJV
38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Dearest Sisters,
HAPPY MONDAY!!!!
We all have 24 hours in a day! How are you spending your time? Make each day count!!!
Rarely ever do people look back on their lives and think they spent too much time with the Lord, or too much time praying for their families. Hardly anyone at the end of their lives lament over spending too much time with their kids. It's incredibly wise to invest our time in things that have eternal value. Like Martha, we can often find ourselves careful and troubled about many things. And usually, they are the lesser important things. I implore us all to spend time resting in the Lord so that we can gain His insight and understanding, as His presence melts away the unimportant things and leave us focused on the needful things.
Clean homes, organized desks, manicured lawns, and spotless cars are important. But, do not let excessive attention to these things distract us from what matters most.
Maintaining too many friendships, attending and/or hosting too many social events, and surely, serving in too many (church) ministries consumes a lot of our time, energy, and resources. Be cautious! Too much of a good thing can be bad. We must strive for balance.
It's okay to hide in the Lord. It's okay to retreat from people and rushed activities in order to rest in the Lord. Mary's example is golden. Discern the times! Evaluate your life! Hide if you must; the Lord is our hiding place and strong tower. Rest if you must; the Lord is our good shepherd that leads us to green pastures, and true rest for our souls! Hiding and resting are two very powerful weapons in our spiritual arsenal. Let's commit to using them as we wage war against our flesh, against the world, and against the wicked one.
Let's tend to the needful things and stop being careful and troubled about the many superficial things.
I'm cheering for us all!
Go, fight, win!
Love and blessings beautiful women of God
Hugs
